PHOTO’S
14 of us from Ards travelled to Nuremburg via the beer halls of Munich to see NI take on the reigning Euro Champions in their own backyard and is normally the case in Germany we came away with a result (1-1) thanks to a cracking goal from Gerry Taggart. We were even accompanied at the game by our MP - Mr John Taylor bedecked in his Ards scarf.
The game was played in November and I'm not sure if the wearing of the poppies went down too well but what the hell it was Remembrance Week.
Thought of by many of the group as our best ever trip - that is except 'Wake Up Johnny Johnston' who slept for five days solid!!
